Beach Buddies

These two beautiful girls are lucky enough to live on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Lily and Addie were great models and I have plans to paint them again at some point. When I first saw photos of these dogs I could hardly tell them apart, but after finally meeting them in person, and with the help of dozens of photos, I was able to see the differences and bring that out in the painting.

The giclee print was an adventure into a different way to reproduce my images. I really enjoyed the process of tweaking the colors so that it most closely replicates the original. Since it's on canvas it has the appearance of being an original.
