Tenacity
One chilly autumn day I went on a long walk with three rambunctious jack russells and their friend and owner, Mia. Mia told me all about these feisty little dogs; how they love to chase squirrels (or any small animal), how they jump, how they live for going out for long walks (or should I say adventures). I tried to incorporate as much of this information as I could into my painting. If you look closely, you'll see the door is scratched high up from their unruly excitement about going out. The curtain has squirrels and dog bones in the pattern and the key hole is shaped like a dog bone.
